 MF n’ Bad Sneakers Update February 15, 2012
 
Hi folks. I guess now we’re finally having the winter weather we’ve largely avoided until recently. Personally, if it must be cold, I prefer cold and pretty (with fresh snow) vs. cold & sh****y (brown landscape-rhymes w/pretty), but that’s me. Regardless, I’m ready for Spring to show up anytime…how ‘bout you?

I hope your Valentine’s Day was perfect, or at least good. Ours was; Barb & I went out to Firebirds for a nice meal and reminisced about the Valentine’s Day 30 years ago when I proposed to her…one thing I got completely right! Does anybody remember The Rusty Scupper, which used to be out at Lake Regency? That’s where we ate that night, those 30 years ago…

The band took a couple weeks off and now that everybody’s rested and healthy again, we’re ready to rock some more.  We’re heading to our “home”, the FireWater Grille, this Friday, February 17 for another big party. It’s not a tough sell if you’ve been with us there before, but if not, don’t miss out again. Mario, Michelle, Sarah, Rachel, James, Mike and the whole FireWater crew are a blast, and we all look forward to these nights.

But that’s not all, folks! The following night, Saturday, February 18 finds us out at Gator O’Malley’s at 121st & W. Center Road. Gator’s is a nice big room with lots of good sight-lines and when y’all come and fill it up, it sounds great.  We have great fun with Russ and Steve’s crew there, too, so come and join the festivities if you can.

We’ve been champin’ at the bit to play again, so both of these shows should rock. We also have some interesting future plans we’ll share as time goes on. I marvel at my good fortune, really, to be at this time and place in life, playin’ with my friends in MF n’ Bad Sneakers. Who knew this was in store? As I often say, it’s fun to be me…
